About South Country Village

Our Team

Daryl Martin (CEO)

The CEO and Chaplain are the only two employees of the Board of Directors. Daryl’s primary focus as CEO is to lead the organization by maintaining positive relationships with residents, staff, Alberta Health, Alberta Health Services, municipal & provincial governments, and the public at large. It is through the eyes and ears of the CEO that the voluntary Board casts the vision for developing and maintaining a high reputation of care in our community.

Murray Jaster

The spiritual well-being of the residents is a high value of South Country Village and has been from the beginning in 1947. We see residents holistically and provide care accordingly.

Stef Munro (CFO)

Stef is responsible for Business and Financial Services, Human Resources, Payroll, and Information Technology. Her high level of education and experience provides South Country Village with strength and compassion.

Trish Deringer

Trish has worked for South Country Village since 1995. For over 22 years Trish has been the Client Services Manager who excels in setting a standard of care that is safe, competent and ethical. Her patient but strong leadership style ensures residents receive the care they deserve.

Nicole Stroh (Life Enrichment Manager)

Nicole has been our lead Recreation Therapist serving residents of South Country Village for over 30 years. She, and her qualified recreation staff, take the time to get to know each resident and subsequently the idiosyncrasies of each person to personalize their activities. This increases the enjoyment level for each resident.

Phil & Anita Martens (Independent Living Managers)

Phil & Anita are very knowledgeable of most things related to South Country Village. Phil was on the Board for many years and Anita worked in our administration office until recently when she joined Phil in providing personalized care for our independent living residents.

would love to hear from you. Whether you want to work directly with residents or clients
or you are part of a group that wants to contribute their time and talents in other area’s,
we will strive to meet your needs at SCV.
SCV is a non-profit organization that cares for adults of all ages. Our volunteers can
serve in long-term Continuing Care, Independent or Assisted living as well as in our
