Volunteers Welcome
South Country Village is always looking for caring and compassionate people who want to make a difference in the lives of elderly individuals living in our community. As little as one hour per week can make a huge difference in residents’ lives. Volunteers who want to help participate in community and recreational events or even enjoy a game or song are appreciated.
Our volunteers are an integral part of our mission to enrich our resident’s lives and provide loving care. Each and every person who gifts their time as a volunteer is a treasured member of our care team. We are grateful for these individuals who generously donate their time to our common cause to help those in need of emotional, spiritual and compassionate support.
“The heart of a volunteer is never measured in size, but by the depth of the commitment to make a difference in the lives of others”- DeAnn Hollis

Volunteer Orientation and Training:
All our volunteers complete a thorough volunteer orientation and are provided a Volunteer Handbook to ensure they are adequately trained on South Country Villages policies, emergency procedures, and protocols.
Our matching process is designed to ensure that our volunteers are paired with a resident who may have similar histories or interests. Our goal is to ensure that both the resident and the volunteer have a meaningful experience.
